Legal and Safety
Product Safety
At Evergreen Kid Co., your child's safety is at the heart of everything we create. We understand that choosing baby products means trusting us with what matters most to you. That's why we're committed to meeting and exceeding industry safety standards while providing complete transparency about our materials and practices.
Our Safety Commitment
Every Evergreen Kid Co. product is:
- OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified– Our fabrics are tested and verified free from over 100 harmful substances including heavy metals, formaldehyde, pesticides, and phthalates
- CPSC Certified – All products meet Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) requirements and include a Children's Product Certificate
- Third-Party Tested – Independent, CPSC-accepted laboratories verify compliance with all applicable safety regulations
- Traceable – Products include permanent tracking information to identify manufacturer, production date, and batch details
Safe Sleep Guidelines
We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations for safe infant sleep:
- Always place babies on their backs to sleep on a firm, flat mattress
- Keep soft items out of the crib (stuffed animals, pillows, loose blankets)
- Ensure proper fit – our fitted crib sheets are designed to fit snugly on standard crib mattresses to prevent bunching or pulling loose
- Always place swaddled infant to sleep on its back (supine position), NEVER on its side or tummy. Stop swaddling as soon as infant shows sign of attempting to roll or by 8 weeks, whichever comes first.
Sleepwear Safety
Our rompers and pajamas comply with federal flammability standards (16 CFR Parts 1615 & 1616):
- Snug-fitting design – Our sleepwear is designed to fit closely to the body, reducing fire hazards without the need for flame-retardant chemicals
- Chemical-free – We never use flame retardant chemicals. Our bamboo and organic cotton fabrics meet safety standards through proper fit and natural fabric properties
- Sizing for safety – If your child is between sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size to maintain the snug fit that keeps them safe
